Offerings Guidelines
 
 EMC Education Services - Prepaid Training

Training Units:
  1. Training Units may be used to acquire education products and services as represented in the EMC Education Services online catalog.
  2. Training Units may only be redeemed for Education Services provided directly by EMC.
  3. Training Units are utilized by students belonging to a specific company site. Usage is tracked by the EMC Learning Management System.
  4. Training Units may not be used for Education Subscription purchases.
  5. Training Units are valid for a period of one (1) year from the original date of purchase and are non-refundable.
  6. Training Units are only transferable within an individual company site.
Individual Subscriptions:
  1. Individual Subscriptions may be used to acquire EMC education products and services as represented in the EMC Education Services online catalog.
  2. Training Subscriptions may only be redeemed for Education Services provided directly by EMC.
  3. A Subscription is assigned to a named individual student and substitutions are not allowed.
  4. Once assigned, the Subscription is non-transferable.
  5. Subscriptions are valid for the following periods, whichever occurs first:
    1. For a period of one (1) year from the original date of purchase; or,
    2. When the maximum value (based on the published list price) of training consumed has reached the $25,000 USD value cap.
  6. Subscriptions are non-refundable.
  7. Effective July 1, 2007, Subscriptions purchased hold a maximum value cap of $25,000 USD, based on the list price represented in the EMC Education Services on-line catalog.
  8. No more than three (3) Video Instructor Led Training (Video ILT) assets may be consumed per Subscription.
ValuePaks:
  1. ValuePaks may be used to acquire a pre-defined set of courses (typically a Curriculum Path) as represented in the EMC Education Services online catalog. A ValuePak and all of its pre-defined contents must be assigned to a named individual student.
  2. ValuePaks may only be redeemed for Education Services provided directly by EMC.
  3. A ValuePak and all of its pre-defined contents are assigned to a named individual student.
  4. Once assigned, the ValuePak and all of its pre-defined content are non-transferable.
  5. ValuePak eLearning content is valid for a period of one (1) year from the date of purchase and are non-refundable.
Video ValuePaks:
  1. Video ValuePaks may be used to acquire a pre-defined set of Video ILT and e-learning courses (typically a Curriculum Path) as represented in the EMC Education Services online catalog.
  2. Video ValuePaks may only be redeemed for Education Services provided directly by EMC.
  3. A Video ValuePak and all of its pre-defined contents are assigned to a named individual student.
  4. Once assigned, a Video ValuePak and all of its pre-defined content are non-transferable.
  5. Video ValuePak eLearning content is valid for a period of one (1) year from the date of purchase and is non-refundable.
 EMC Education Services - Training Modes

Video Instructor-Led-Training (Video ILT):
  1. Video ILT training is available in CD ROM format and may be purchased in various titles.
  2. Video ILT titles are licensed per named individual student.
  3. For multiple student environments, a Video ILT license for each title must be purchased for each student.
  4. Returns and/or exchanges of Video ILT purchases are not accepted.
  5. In the event a Video ILT package is damaged during shipment it may be exchanged for the same title provided it is returned and the packaging is unopened. Contact your Sales Representative or EMC Education Services at EdServices@emc.com to receive a Return Authorization (RA) number.
Self-paced eLearning:
  1. Self-paced eLearning and associated downloadable content may be purchased in various titles and licensed per named individual student.
  2. Self-paced eLearning and licensed per named individual student.
  3. In a multiple student environment, an eLearning license for each title must be purchased for each student.
  4. Licensed titles are available for one (1) year from the original date of registration.
  5. Self-paced eLearning licenses are non-refundable and non-transferable.
Instructor-led Training (ILT) Cancellation Policy:
    EMC Class Cancellation:
  1. EMC reserves the right to cancel any scheduled class at any time.
  2. Course cancellation notices are sent to the student's email address (via existing Powerlink profile).
  3. For classes cancelled by EMC fewer than (fourteen) calendar 14 days prior to the official class start date, EMC will refund 100% of non-refundable airline travel expenses incurred by the student, provided original receipts are submitted to EMC Education Services. Refunds will be processed by EMC within sixty (60) days of receipt of the original airline receipts.
  4. Registered students who are notified by EMC Education that a scheduled course has been cancelled will receive a 100% credit in EMC Training Units equivalent to the class fees paid by the student for the cancelled course. Note: This does not include Subscriptions.
  5. EMC is not liable for any travel expenses incurred by the student e.g. transportation, hotel, or other travel related expenses, for classes cancelled more than ( fourteen) 14 calendar days prior to the official class start date.
    Student Cancellation of Registration
  1. Registered students who cancel a scheduled class fourteen (14) calendar days or more prior to the official start date will receive a 100% credit in EMC Training Units equivalent to the class fee paid by the student. dollar amount. Note: This does not include Subscriptions.
  2. Registered students who cancel or otherwise reschedule an EMC Education class less than fourteen (14) calendar days prior to the official start date will be charged 100% of the class fee.
  3. Subscription holders who cancel a scheduled class fourteen (14) days prior to the official start date will have the class fee applied to the $25,000 USD maximum Subscription cap value.
