The VCE™ Certified Professional Design track is intended for VCE solutions architect professionals. The Design track certifies professionals in assessing a customer’s business objectives, gathering the technical requirements, understanding application use cases, sizing and designing appropriate VCE configurations, and documenting and justifying proposed configurations/environments.

The introductory certification for this track is the VCE™ Converged Infrastructure Associate (VCE-CIA) certification, and is required in order to earn the VCE™ Certified Converged Infrastructure Design Engineer (VCE-CIDE) and VCE™ Certified Converged Infrastructure Master Design Engineer (VCE-CIMDE) certifications.

VCE™ Certified Converged Infrastructure Associate (VCE-CIA)

This certification is open and available to all professionals who would like to validate their understanding of what differentiates VCE converged infrastructure environments. Get to know the basics of VCE Vblock® Systems components and solutions, and the underlying investor technologies used to create VCE Vblock Systems.

Certification Requirement(s)

1. Exam: Included in the VCE Converged Infrastructure Solutions Foundations eLearning course. Course registration is required in order to access the exam. However, completing the eLearning course is not a prerequisite. A candidate can bypass the course and go directly to the exam.

VCE™ Certified Converged Infrastructure Associate (VCE-CIA)

This level is open and available to architect professionals who would like to validate their understanding of the important knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to design and architect VCE Solutions. Knowledge and skills include concepts, such as data collection and design, system architecture, systems management, virtualizations, and technology extensions.

The ideal candidate has earned the VCE-CIA credential and has VCE Solutions design experience and familiarity with the VCE product portfolio.

This level is open and available to architect professionals who have broad, multidisciplinary skills needed to expertly perform design and architecture tasks of VCE solutions. Candidates have demonstrated significant competencies in areas related to solution design concepts, management and orchestration, capacity upgrade and expansion, technology extensions, portfolio use cases, and unified data center.

The ideal candidate has earned the VCE-CIA or VCE-CIDE credentials and has expert VCE Solutions design experience and a complex understanding of the VCE product portfolio.
