Do you have what it takes to be a trusted advisor?

Demonstrate that you have the expertise and leadership skills to design and architect cutting-edge solutions that drive digital transformation. Become the trusted advisor who turns your organization’s IT transformation strategy into reality. The Dell Enterprise Architect program supports those, in the Services organization, pursing The Open Group's, Open CA certification. Below you will find additional information on the program and the path to get there.

With these certifications you can work closely with stakeholders, management and subject matter experts (SME), as a specialist to develop a view of an organization's strategy, information, processes and IT assets. A Certified Architect is the technology strategist for the business and customer first advocate and is responsible for using this knowledge to ensure IT and business alignment

The Certified Architect connects an organization’s business mission, methodology and processes to its IT strategy. They establish an in-depth understanding of current and future state capabilities with the help of an array of architectural models. These models provide a picture of how an organization's existing and future requirements may be accomplished in an effective, agile, sustainable and flexible manner.

The Enterprise Architect program consists of an initial application and a board review by our accredited Board Member team. Candidates can be certified at one of 3 levels, determined by your experience and skill set:

Level 1: able to perform with assistance/supervision, with a wide range of appropriate skills, as a contributing architect

Level 2: able to perform independently and take responsibility for delivery of systems and solutions as lead architect

Level 3: has significant breadth and depth of impact on the business through the application of IT architecture

Application Submission

There are two steps that must be completed to obtain the Enterprise Architect certification: an approved application submission and a successful board review.

Candidates will register for both the Initial Application and the Board Review through the Submittable website. A submission must be made for the Initial Application first. Once that application has been accepted, a representative for the program will be in contact with you and ask you to submit the application for the Board Review; they will provide the link at that time.

Open Group Accreditation Process

Once a candidate passes their Dell Enterprise Architect certification board review, Dell Technologies will sponsor that Dell team member to The Open Group to receive their equivalent Open Certified Architect (Open CA). The Dell Enterprise Architect certification meets the board review requirements as an equivalent certification. Therefore, no additional board review is required through The Open Group.
